Tony Petrello, CEO And Philanthropist

Tony Petrello is the CEO, President, and chairman of the board of Nabors Industries, one of the leading oil companies the world over. He comes from a legal background and before his tenure with Nabors he studied at both at Harvard Law School, and at Yale. After finishing school, he worked at the law firm Baker & McKenzie, where he became a managing partner, focusing on corporate law and taxation.

Petrello once wrote to his former school roommate that “One life lesson I have learned is that between being smart or being lucky—lucky is better. I have been extremely fortunate in work.” And that undoubtedly is true. Sadly, Petrello has been more challenged in his personal life. He and his wife Cynthia’s daughter Carena was born with a neurological condition, periventricular leukomalacia (PVL), which makes everyday tasks like eating, walking and talking difficult challenges. Inspired by his daughter, Tony Petrello has given millions of dollars of funding and support to research neurological conditions in children, and he is a member of the Board of Trustees of Texas Children’s Hospital.

Once one of the highest paid CEOs in the nation, Tony Petrello has recently taken pay cuts to benefit the company and its shareholders. At Nabors Industries, he takes the lead in providing strategic planning and direction to the company, helping them to move forward and adapt in the marketplace. In addition to his positions at Nabors and the Texas Children’s Hospital Petrello also is on the board of Stewart & Stevenson LLC and of Hilcorp Energy Company.

  1. I think that we have a proper design at the work that needs to be done in making CEOs understand that they have to serve the benefits of the business investors. Also with the RushEssay.com coursework writing services I see the notion that we have to look at nabors working in smarter ways in the work in the business. I think that we have to hear about the board of trustees and really know about the contact as well as what it is involved in total.
